Chicken Paella Rice

  • skinless chicken cut into cubes 800g
  • chicken garlic sausages cut into pieces 400g
  • basmati rice 500g
  • Water 1 1/2 times of rice
  • bay leaves 2 – 3
  • mixed herbs either fresh or dried 1 tsp
  • chopped onions 2 tbsp
  • chopped garlic 1 tbsp
  • olive oil 4 tbsp
  • either saffron or turmeric powder Pinch
  • MAGGI Jumbo Chicken Cubes 2
  • Red, yellow and green bell pepper cut into pieces 75g
  • Green and black olives 7-8
  • Salt and white pepper to taste
  • Chopped parsley and of fresh herbs to garnish
  • Season the chicken with 1 MAGGI Jumbo Chicken Cube and pepper
  • Wash the rice and keep aside.
  • Heat olive oil in a pan. Slightly temper the chopped garlic, onions, bay leaves and mixed herb.
  • Add the chicken and chicken garlic sausages, Temper for a little while.
  • Add washed basmati rice, olives, bell pepper and saffron. Sprinkle 1 MAGGI Jumbo Chicken Cube and enough water to cook the rice. Mix well and bring to boil.
  • Cover the pan and cook for about 15-20 minutes on medium heat, till the rice is cooked.
  • Take off the fire.
  • Garnish with chopped parsley and fresh herbs. Serve warm.
